News
February Update:
After much thought we’ve decided to
focus on ONE Jubilee event of The Big Lunch on Sunday 5th June. This
will involve a road closure during the middle period of the day as
mentioned in the recent village newsletter. It may continue into the
evening. This event will
involve bringing food to share with your friends and neighbours and The
Club, pub, cafe and village hall will be open for drinks and
facilities. This will mainly take place near these venues in the
village. We’ve decided
against a ticketed event for two reasons: the difficulties in organising
events over consecutive days, and because Kington Club is planning a
festival on the QE2 Field a few weeks later. As
it stands we have no plans to light a beacon on Thursday 2nd June at
9pm, although please do express an interest if you’d like this in KSM?
Thankyou.
Donation
Thanks go to the Book Recycling Scheme for its donation of £50.
Cake Sale Result
Thank you to everyone who supported this starter event - we raised £250!
